Conception and InspirationUkrainian inventor Vasily Chikur embarked on his submarine endeavor two and a half years ago. After meticulously designing the blueprint, Vasily sought the support of friends and began transforming his vision into reality.
Crafting the Submarine
Vasily Chikur's invention falls between the extraordinary and the practical. While not as ambitious as a perpetual motion machine, it is far from a mere concept. With precision and dedication, Vasily meticulously crafted each component. From the custom-made mold for the submarine's dome to the fabrication of the main hull by skilled cistern manufacturers, no detail was spared. The project consumed a significant investment of approximately 100,000 hryvnias.
Divine Blessings and Maiden Voyage
In a testament to his unwavering faith, Vasily sought divine protection for his creation and had his submarine blessed by a priest. Following a successful battery of rituals, Vasily embarked on his inaugural dive. The world first witnessed his masterpiece at a Kyiv exhibition, where he conducted its inaugural "field tests" with several circumnavigations of the Dnieper River.
Technical Ingenuity on Display
The hallmark of Vasily Chikur's creation lies in its thorough design and meticulous execution. The miniature submarine features an array of systems found in authentic submersibles. Dual autonomous engines, a traction battery, a ballast chamber, and an emergency surfacing system demonstrate Vasily's unwavering commitment to engineering excellence. Its "Chikur-1" model boasts an underwater endurance of 2 hours, with supplementary compressed air tanks extending it to 10 hours. While theoretically capable of reaching depths of 50 meters, Vasily typically operates at shallower depths.

Currently, Vasily faces a challenge that dwarfs the complexities of his invention's creation: its official registration. Amidst the labyrinthine bureaucracy of maritime authorities, Vasily's determination remains steadfast.
