Veronica Campbell-Brown made her first appearance at the Olympic Games in 2000 in Sydney, where she won a silver medal in the 4x100m relay as part of the Jamaican team. She did not compete in any individual events. In 2004, in Athens, Veronica Campbell-Brown won three medals, including two gold medals in the 200m race and the 4x100m relay. She also won a bronze medal in the 100m race. Four years later, in Beijing, she repeated her success by becoming the champion in the 200m race and setting a personal record of 21.74 seconds.

Disqualification and National Selection

The Jamaican women's 4x100m relay team, consisting of athletes who had already won Olympic medals, was considered the favorite in the competition. However, they made a mistake during the final race and were disqualified. Veronica Campbell-Brown was supposed to run the anchor leg. In the 100m race at the national trials, she finished fourth and did not make it into the team. It is worth noting that Jamaican athletes took the top three spots in this event at the Olympic Games.

World Championships and Personal Life

At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki, Veronica Campbell-Brown, as the reigning Olympic champion, was expected to perform well in the 200m race. However, she only managed to secure fourth place. Nevertheless, she won two silver medals, one in the 100m race and the other as part of the relay team. In 2007, at the World Championships in Osaka, she won a gold medal in the 100m race and two silver medals in the 200m race and the relay.
