The Early Years

Once upon a time in a major school, several children studied in different classes and stood out from the rest. They were like a patch on a star-studded sleeve in this school. These boys, named Igor, Vasya, Pasha, and Tikhon, were not particularly intelligent or wealthy. However, they all shared a love for metal music and knew that every respectable metalhead had to be part of a band.

Formation of the Band

They decided to form a band because they had no other options. Igor played the drums, Vasya and Pasha played their fathers' old seven-string guitars and sang, and Tikhon pretended to play the bass. It was clear that they were not allowed to perform at school events, and soon they were kicked out of the school's extracurricular activities. This was a big blow to their creativity, and Pasha left the group while the rest of them turned to punk music.

New Beginnings

After a long break, the band rose from the ashes and started rehearsing at Misha Kranin's Music People Club. This club was the only place in their city where rock bands of all styles and genres could rehearse and perform. It was located in the basement of a residential building, sharing space with a gym. The residents of the building preferred the gym over musicians, for reasons that need not be explained. After some time, a guy named Littl joined their group, but he eventually left due to his love for traveling to other cities and sometimes even other worlds.

The Search for a New Home

The sound at Music People Club was awful, and they played on rented instruments, but they were grateful for the opportunity. Unfortunately, the club suddenly closed down, rumored to be due to drunk metalheads breaking the windows. After an extensive search, they found a new rehearsal space called NCS, where the sound quality was amazing. They decided to audition there, and despite Vasya's terrible singing, they realized they needed a new vocalist. They found Duh, who had decent singing abilities, and he joined the band.

The Joy Era Begins

The band faced various challenges, including NCS being shut down by the tax authorities. They briefly practiced in Dima Bashkatov's apartment, but the lack of sound there and a hostile neighbor forced them to leave. Eventually, they found a new home in Babushka Molodogo's shed, which became the center of the local metal, punk, death, and even rap scenes. The shed had trees and shrubs growing on its roof, and it slowly deteriorated, much like their civilization.

Changes and Challenges

During this time, Duh and Tikhon left the group for different reasons. The band, originally named Brick-headed Aliens, fell apart completely. The enraged punks in Babushka Molodogo's yard forced her to close the shed. It was then that they remembered their fifth member, Vitya, who had been learning guitar during their break. They were lucky that he lived on the top floor, with only neighbors below. They brought their instruments to his place, and Igor, surprisingly, took on the role of vocalist. They decided to play hardcore music like Biohazard and renamed the band Outrage.

The Final Club

They found a new rehearsal space at the Final Club, thanks to Tolik Guly, the club's organizer who valued artistic freedom. They continued to improve until Barrimor left. His studies, involvement in a Krishna-satanist sect, and constant drinking and brawling did not contribute to musical development. After a long and painful search, they found Koshka, a talented bass guitarist, who brought along a short-term member named Den. Den played the balalaika with effects but soon grew tired of the group. He currently plays in the band Mirandolla. Vitya entered college and focused on academic excellence, which conflicted with the band's goals, leading to Yacek's departure.

The Arrival of Oleg Martynenko

After six months of searching, they were introduced to Oleg Martynenko by Den. Oleg charmed them with his exceptional guitar skills and became their new guitarist. The band began to flourish. They composed a program of 7-8 songs in just half a year and decided to change their name to Radost, often referred to as Via Radost. Their debut took place in the canteen of the Proton factory. Tikhon, now a football fan, invited them to a party with his new skinhead friends. However, the night took a turn for the worse when Vasya arrived late after celebrating the end of his college studies. He made offensive remarks, resulting in a brawl and forcing them to leave.

The Present and Future

Since then, they have avoided playing for football fans and skinheads, and Vasya has stopped drinking before performances. Two years have passed, and the band has performed numerous concerts at the Final Club. Notable among them were the season opening, the presentation of their own album, and a tribute concert to Kurt Cobain. Currently, they are preparing to release their second album, which promises to be even better than the first.
