Norwegian skier and specialist in cross-country skiing, Vibeke Skofterud has participated in a number of key skiing competitions since 1999. Although she has not won many gold medals yet, Skofterud has managed to reach the podium. She has been professionally involved in cross-country skiing since 1999. While Skofterud has not achieved impressive results so far, she has already made some progress in her athletic career. In 2000, she made her debut in the World Cup for cross-country skiing, but she has not won any Cup races yet. Her best personal result in the World Cup was 11th place in the 2011-2012 season. Skofterud has a full collection of medals in the 4x5 km relay event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships. She won gold in 2005 and 2011, silver in 2003, and bronze in 2007. Her best individual result in the championships was 13th place in the 5+5 km pursuit race in 2003.
