Early Life and Education
Born on January 10 (23), 1906, in Odessa, Ukraine, to a priest's family, Borislav Brondukov spent his childhood in the village of Lysaya Gora. Between 1914 and 1918, he attended the Zemstvo Real Gymnasium in Elisavetgrad. From 1920 to 1922, he pursued an education at the Odessa Electrotechnical Institute of Communication.
Theatrical Career
In 1922, Brondukov embarked on his theatrical path in the Odessa People's Theater. From 1926 to 1927, he performed at the Odessa "Robselteatr," a branch of the Ukrainian State Drama Theater. Simultaneously, he studied at the theater's studio under Leonid Gakkebush and Viktor Vasilko, graduating in 1928.
Ukrainian Theater and Cinema
From 1928 to 1933, Brondukov was a member of the Kharkiv Krasnozavodsky Ukrainian Workers' Theater. He then joined the Stalin Ukrainian Drama Theater from 1933 to 1938. Alongside his acting career, he founded the Stalin Puppet Theater in 1933 with Leonid Gakkebush.
In 1939, Brondukov joined the Kyiv Ukrainian Drama Theater named after Ivan Franko, where he performed until 1964. He also pursued a film career, beginning in 1926. Throughout his theatrical and cinematic journey, Brondukov amassed over 200 theater roles and 30 film credits.
Wartime and Recognition
During World War II, Brondukov traveled with the theater to Semipalatinsk, Kazakhstan. As part of an acting frontline brigade, he visited soldiers at the front. Displaying his literary prowess, he published poetry and satirical feuilletons in newspapers and frontline bulletins.
Kyiv Theater of Russian Drama
In 1964, Brondukov joined the Kyiv Theater of Russian Drama named after Lesia Ukrainka, where he became a leading actor. That same year, he participated in a delegation of Ukrainian artists who traveled to the United States and Canada, where he performed readings of Taras Shevchenko's works.

Brondukov's exceptional talent was recognized with numerous awards and titles:
