Success in Country Music

Banks gained recognition for her hit song "Come on Over" performed by Jessica Simpson, which debuted at the highest positions in Billboard's chart history. The song earned her a Country Music Award from the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) in 2009. Another popular song she wrote was "Saints & Angels" for Sara Evans, which won a Country Music Award from ASCAP in 2003 and the International Achievement Award from the Society of Composers, Authors, and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN).

In May 2010, after completing a tour in Canada, Banks wrote the song "City Of Dreams" on her way back home, inspired by the devastating events and historic flooding in Nashville. Two weeks later, a music video was created for the song, featuring over 40 artists and musicians from Nashville. The single was made available for download, and all proceeds from its sales were donated to the American Red Cross to aid in flood relief efforts.

Currently, Victoria Banks has released two solo albums, "You Don't Know Me" and "When You Can Fly." She was named "Artist of the Year" and "Songwriter of the Year" by the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) in 2010. Her album "When You Can Fly" received a nomination for the Canadian Indie Award in 2010 and six nominations for the Canadian Country Music Awards in 2009, including categories such as "Album of the Year," "Producer of the Year," "Single of the Year," "Songwriter of the Year," "Female Artist of the Year," and "Rising Star." Her music videos for the songs "The Wheel" and "When You Can Fly" were continuously played on CMT Canada.
