Early Life and Career

Volodymyr Petrovsky was born in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic. Little is known about his early life and education.

Career in the Chemical Industry

In 1968, Petrovsky joined the Kopetsky Plastics Factory in the Chelyabinsk Oblast of the Russian Soviet Federative Socialist Republic (RSFSR). He rose through the ranks, becoming a master and deputy director.

In 1981, he became the director of the Rezhevsky Chemical Plant in the Sverdlovsk Oblast of the RSFSR. In 1986, he was appointed director of the Petrovsky Chemical Association in the Luhansk Oblast of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR).

Political Career

In 1990, Petrovsky was elected as a People's Deputy of the Ukrainian SSR. He served as a member of the Supreme Council's Commission on Defense and State Security.

In April 1994, he was re-elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine.
