Biography of Viktor Korotich

Viktor Korotich is a baritone singer born in Nizhnevartovsk. He graduated from the S.S. Prokofiev Donetsk Music Academy in 2005, studying under the guidance of Professor G.G. Kalikin, a People's Artist of Ukraine.

From 2002 to 2007, Korotich served as a soloist at the A.B. Solovyanenko Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. During his time there, he performed various roles, including Robert in "Iolanta," Bogdan Khmelnitsky in "Bogdan Khmelnitsky," Figaro in "The Barber of Seville," Belcore in "The Elixir of Love," and many others.

In 2007, Korotich became a soloist at the Mariinsky Theatre's Academy of Young Singers. His repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre includes Don Carlos in "The Stone Guest," Prince in "Kashchey the Immortal," Don Ferdinand in "The Duenna," Chertokutsky in "The Carriage," Figaro in "The Barber of Seville," Papageno in "The Magic Flute," Belcore in "The Elixir of Love," Ford in "Falstaff," Don Alvaro in "Journey to Reims," and many more.

Korotich has also performed in various festivals and concerts around the world, including Spain, Germany, Switzerland, and the Moscow Easter Festival. He participated in the Operalia competition in 2011.
