Vilma Kutavičius: Lithuanian Actress with a Passion for Perfection
Early Life and EducationVilma Kutavičius was born on June 15, 1988, in Vilnius, Lithuania. Despite having a jazz musician father and a doctor mother, she displayed an indifference towards music lessons. Instead, she found solace in writing poetry. At the age of 15, she made her cinematic debut in the Lithuanian short film "Man septyniolika."
Moving to Moscow and Training as an Actress
Defying her family's wishes, Vilma relocated to Moscow after graduating from high school. She immersed herself in Russian language studies and enrolled in the prestigious Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (RATI-GITIS), where she trained under the guidance of renowned director L.E. Kheifits.
Theatrical and Film Career
Vilma's theatrical credits include performances in "Fathers and Sons" (Odincova), "The Threepenny Opera" (Jenny Malina), and "Miss Julie" (Miss Julie). After graduating from RATI-GITIS, she continued her education under acclaimed Lithuanian theater director Eimuntas Nekrosius.
From 2013 onwards, Vilma began appearing in Russian films and television series. Her breakthrough role came in the film "Vosmerka" (2014), where she played Alaya, a young woman who becomes embroiled in a deadly conflict between special forces and a criminal gang.
