Biography of Vincent Hancock
Vincent Hancock was born on March 19, 1989, in Eatonton, Georgia. He developed a passion for shooting from a very young age and actively participated in competitions from the age of eleven. At the age of sixteen, Hancock earned his first international title by competing in the World Championship. He was later recognized by the International Shooting Sport Federation as the Shooter of the Year.
Currently, Hancock is a member of the United States Olympic Team, representing his country in the Skeet shooting event at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He is also a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, further highlighting his dedication and skills in the sport.
With numerous victories and a strong track record, experts in shooting believe that Hancock possesses real potential. Some of his notable achievements include being the 2005 World Champion, the 2006 Spring Selection Match Champion, and the winner of the Fall Selection Match Champion, the World Clay Target Championships (bronze medal), World Cup Italy Champion, and Pan American Games (gold medal) in 2007.
The year 2008 proved to be an eventful and exciting one for Hancock as he successfully qualified for the Beijing World Cup, securing a fourth-place finish among skeet shooters. He also emerged as the top contender in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials (Shotgun), earning him a place in the U.S. Olympic Team.
