Biography of Vinnie Vincent

Vinnie Vincent, an American musician, gained worldwide fame for his involvement in the band Kiss. He joined Kiss as the new guitarist in 1982 after Ace Frehley left the group. However, Vinnie Vincent's negative behavior led to his dismissal from Kiss in April 1984, with Mark St. John taking his place.

Early Life and Musical Beginnings

Vinnie Vincent was born on August 6, 1952, as Vincent Cusano in Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA. His parents, who were both musicians, later moved to New York. His father was a guitarist, and his mother was a singer, both of them loving country music. Recognizing his talent, Vinnie's parents enrolled him in a music school, where he studied classical music and jazz. However, over time, he became more interested in rock music. He soon learned to play the guitar and formed his first rock band in 1964.

Professional Career and Kiss

In 1977, Vinnie formed his first serious rock band called "Treashure," which released a record. After leaving "Treashure" for various reasons, he worked as a studio guitarist and composer. In 1981, he joined the band "Warrior," but his stay there was short-lived. He then joined "New England," whose first album was produced by Paul Stanley himself in 1979. It was during this time that Vinnie met Paul and Gene. Kiss was experiencing issues with Ace and enlisted the talented and promising young guitarist Vincent Cusano to work on the album "Creatures of the Night." They collaborated on several songs for this album, and Vinnie played almost all the solo guitar parts on the record. Accepting an offer to tour with Kiss and become a permanent member of the group, Vinnie took on the stage name Vinnie Vincent. For about a year, he performed with Kiss wearing makeup, with his mask resembling an ancient Egyptian pharaoh. However, Vinnie's negative behavior led to his dismissal from the band in April 1984.

Vinnie Vincent Invasion and Current Life

Undeterred, Vinnie established his own project, the band "Vinnie Vincent Invasion," releasing two albums: "Vinnie Vincent Invasion" in 1986 and "All Systems Go" in 1988. Currently, Vinnie has stepped away from the stage and leads an everyday life. However, he still holds onto the hope of releasing a new album, enjoying his old memories and basking in the remnants of the fame brought to him by his days in Kiss.
