Early Life and Education
Yuriy Bohuvin was born in Mayak, Ukraine. He received his secondary education at Nogaysk Agricultural College in Prymorske in 1984-1988, where he studied zootechnics. From 1988 to 1990, Bohuvin served in the military. He then pursued higher education at the Dnipropetrovsk Agrarian and Economic University, graduating in 1995 with a degree in agronomy.
Agricultural Career
Bohuvin began his agricultural career in 1991 at the Ukraine collective farm in Kuibyshevsky district, where he worked as a foreman of the tractor brigade and later as deputy director of the agricultural enterprise for ten years. From 2000 to 2006, he led the Batkivshchyna agrofirm in Polohivsky district.
In 2006, Bohuvin founded Bizon-Tech, a company distributing seeds and fertilizers. In 2009, he established the agroholding LANDFORT. In 2012, he created the trading company Ambar Export, followed by the foundation of Ocean Invest in 2014. In 2016, he consolidated all his assets into the BKW Group.
Political Career
Bohuvin's political aspirations began with his nomination as a parliamentary candidate for the Servant of the People party in the 2019 parliamentary elections. Standing for the No. 78 electoral district covering Berdiansk and surrounding areas, he ran as a non-partisan and was an active director of Bizon-Tech 2006 at the time of election.
On May 20, 2020, the Cabinet of Ministers approved Bohuvin's appointment as Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration (RDA). He later served as Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council from December 15 to December 24, 2020.
