Vitalii Bordian: A Renowned Moldovan Footballer
Early Life and CareerBorn in Moldova, Vitalii Bordian began his football journey at the Zimbru Sports School in Chisinau under the guidance of coach Vyacheslav Karandashov. His exceptional talent earned him a spot in the reserve team of Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow.
Ukrainian Stint
In 2005, Bordian signed a 3.5-year deal with Ukrainian club Metalist Kharkiv. During his time there, he established himself as a key defender and was named the Moldovan Footballer of the Year in 2008. He extended his contract with Metalist until 2012.
Across the Borders
Following his tenure in Ukraine, Bordian moved to Hungarian club Hoverla Uzhhorod in the summer of 2012. After a brief spell there, he joined Russian club Volga Nizhny Novgorod on a one-and-a-half-year contract.
Return to Moldova
In 2014, Bordian returned to his homeland to play for Veris. A year later, he signed a six-month contract with Helioς Kharkiv before joining Dacia Chisinau in 2016.
Sherriff Tiraspol and Beyond
After playing eight matches for Dacia, Bordian made a switch to Sherriff Tiraspol. He made his debut for the club in August 2016 and remained there until 2018. Subsequently, he joined Dinamo-Auto, where he currently plays.
International Career
Bordian has represented Moldova at both youth and senior levels. He captained the Moldova U-21 team and scored a crucial goal in a match against Latvia.
Coaching Aspirations
In 2015, Bordian embarked on a journey to obtain his UEFA B Coaching Licence.
Personal Life
Vitalii Bordian is a family man, married to Tatiana. The couple has four children: three sons (Artem, Nikita, and Ian) and a daughter (Milena).
