Academician's Early YearsDr. Eduard Leonidovich Kordyum was born in Ukraine and completed his medical studies at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. In 1955, he embarked on postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Biology and subsequently joined the D.K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology.
