Ukrainian footballer Vitaliy Mandziuk joins Arsenal on loan
Vitaliy Mandziuk, a Ukrainian footballer and defender for the club "Dnipro", has recently made a move to join the Kiev-based team, Arsenal, on a loan basis until the end of the year. The announcement came after much speculation and discussions between the clubs. Mandziuk, along with midfielder Denis Oleinik and midfielder Yevgeny Shmakov, who are both under contract with Dynamo, will now be representing Arsenal.
Transition to Arsenal
The news of Mandziuk's transfer to Arsenal was confirmed on Tuesday, with the player already joining his new team. Mandziuk expressed his excitement about the move, stating that he had already trained with the team and was even scheduled to play in a friendly match against "Obolon". The decision to join Arsenal was made after a conversation with head coach Yuriy Semin, where it was established that there were stronger players in the team who would be starting, and Mandziuk would serve as a backup ready to contribute whenever necessary. Mandziuk, however, believed that at his age, he needed consistent playing time in the top league to continue gaining attention from the national team coaches.
Choosing Arsenal
Mandziuk revealed that he received a call from Alexander Zavarov, a representative of Arsenal, who emphasized the team's positive attitude towards young players and their focus on game time and development. This led Mandziuk to choose Arsenal as his destination. Additionally, the fact that the team is based in Kiev, where he already resides, made the decision even easier.
Future plans
Regarding the duration of his loan, Mandziuk mentioned that the details were yet to be discussed with the club presidents. However, he was instructed by Zavarov to focus on training and football-related matters, while any financial and contractual matters would be addressed later on. Despite joining Arsenal, Mandziuk expressed his desire to return to Dynamo in the future, stating that it would depend on his performance and the level of his game. He believed that the opportunity with Arsenal was a suitable option for him at the moment, considering his age and the need for consistent playing time in a top league.
