Early Life and Education
Born on December 22, 1951, in Artemivsk, Donetsk Oblast, the renowned science fiction writer began his educational journey at Donetsk State University, graduating with a degree in chemistry.
Scientific and Journalistic Career
After completing his undergraduate studies, he embarked on a lengthy career as a senior research associate, followed by stints as a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Donetsk publishing house "Otechestvo."
Writing Workshops and Affiliations
The author actively participated in numerous writing workshops, including three hosted by the Adventure and Science Fiction Council of the USSR Writers' Union in Maleevka and Dubulty. He was also a member of the Donetsk Science Fiction Club "Strannik" and attended various workshops organized by the All-Union Creative Association of Young Science Fiction Writers.
Literary Breakthrough
The writer's literary breakthrough came with the publication of his story "Guard Dog of the Corporation," which won the Best Science Fiction Short Story Award in the international "71-ROBOT-72" competition organized by the "Tekhnika-Molodezi" magazine.
