Early Life and Education
Vitaliy Oleksandrovych Kim was born on March 13, 1981, in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. His father was a prominent basketball coach and player for the Soviet Union youth team. Kim completed his education at Mykolaiv Gymnasium No. 2 and the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, majoring in "Economics of Enterprises."
Entrepreneurial Endeavors
In 1998, Kim embarked on a business career. He served as managing partner of the entertainment complex Ushuaja. In 2003, he joined the auditing firm "Ukrpromresource," specializing in the state sector. From 2005 to 2011, Kim led various enterprises in Mykolaiv and engaged in international investments. His entrepreneurial endeavors included establishing a group of development companies responsible for constructing residential complexes such as "Orange," "Concert," and "Cozy."
Political Career
In 2019, Kim volunteered for the Mykolaiv branch of the "Servant of the People" party during the presidential and parliamentary elections. In the 2020 local elections, he ran for a seat on the Mykolaiv City Council under the "Servant of the People" banner, while remaining an independent. Kim also headed the party's electoral headquarters, managing campaigns for both the city and regional councils.
On November 25, 2020, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Kim as the Chairman of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration.
