Vitaliy Koval: A Leader in Agriculture, Business, and Sports
Early Life and EducationVitaliy Koval was born into a family with deep roots in sports; his father was a renowned wrestling coach. Koval pursued higher education at the Ternopil Academy of National Economy, earning a degree in Banking. He furthered his studies at the Lviv Business School of the Ukrainian Catholic University. Fluent in English and Polish, Koval possesses a strong linguistic foundation.
Professional Journey
From 2004 to 2006, Koval worked in the credit department of Ukrgazbank. His business ventures include serving as director of Probank Consult from 2008 to 2009, CEO of InvestTradeService from 2012 to 2014, and CEO of Sanako and VVV Montage from 2014 and 2015 onwards, respectively.
Political Career
Koval's political journey began in 2019 when he was appointed as Chairman of the Rivne Regional State Administration. On November 21, 2023, he transitioned to the position of Chairman of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. Since September 5, 2024, Koval has served as Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Sports Involvement
Beyond politics, Koval is an avid sports enthusiast. A candidate for master of sports in Greco-Roman wrestling, he возглавляет (leads) the Rivne Regional Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation and serves as the first vice president of the All-Ukrainian Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation. Koval is also deputy chairman of the board of the All-Ukrainian Road Association.
Civic Engagements
Koval is actively involved in community affairs. He возглавляет (leads) the "Servant of the People" faction in the Rivne City Council.
