Biography of Viveka Babajee

Viveka Babajee, the Mauritian model and actress, gained recognition as the winner of the titles 'Miss Mauritius World 1993' and 'Miss Mauritius Universe 1994'. Born on May 23, 1973, in Port Louis, Mauritius, she was the youngest of four sisters. Viveka's mother hailed from Maharashtra and was originally from Hyderabad. She moved to India in the mid-1990s and became renowned among the Indian population for her participation in the advertising campaigns for 'KamaSutra' condoms in the 1990s.

Modeling and Acting Career

Apart from her modeling endeavors, Viveka Babajee also ventured into the world of acting. She appeared in music videos such as Daler Mehndi's 'Boom Boom' and Harbhajan Mann's 'Hai Meri Billo'. Viveka walked the runway for prominent Indian designers like Ritu Kumar, Ritu Beri, Abu Jani, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Tarun Tahiliani, and many more.

Entrepreneurship and Business

Viveka Babajee was not only a successful model and actress but also a shrewd businesswoman. She owned a company called 'Cream Events', which witnessed significant growth in 2009 with the support of her former boyfriend and business partner, Kartikeya Putra. However, Viveka eventually severed all ties with 'Cream Events' and embarked on her own entrepreneurial journey.

In January 2010, she founded her own management company named 'VIBGYOR ENT', with 'VIBGYOR' representing the first letters of the seven colors of the rainbow in English. Viveka Babajee managed various projects and even hosted the show of Arjun Khanna, a renowned fashion designer. She also worked as a television presenter on the fashion channel FTV India.

Tragic Demise

On June 25, 2010, Viveka Babajee's life came to a tragic end when she was found dead in her Mumbai apartment. The police concluded that she had taken her own life. In her personal diary, which was discovered next to her lifeless body, the last entry read, "You killed me, Gautam Vohra." According to unconfirmed reports, Viveka had fallen into depression following her breakup with Gautam Vohra, her boyfriend at the time. Despite her untimely demise, Viveka Babajee's talent and contributions to the entertainment industry were not forgotten.
