American sociologist and economist Viviana A. Zelizer received her Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University in 1971. She continued her education at Columbia University, obtaining her Master's degree in 1974 and her Doctorate in Philosophy in 1977.

Early Academic Career

After completing her graduate studies, Zelizer embarked on her academic career as an instructor at Rutgers University from 1976 to 1978. She then moved to Columbia University, where she taught from 1978 to 1988, becoming a full professor in 1985.

Later Academic Affiliations
