Vladimir Berezhkov: A Renowned Moscow Bard
Vladimir Berezhkov is a renowned poet, composer, and bard from Moscow, Russia.
Education and Early Career
Berezhkov graduated from the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute named after V. I. Lenin in 1978, specializing in philology. He briefly worked as a leading engineer at the Central Scientific and Technical Information Institute of the USSR Ministry of Health.
Music Career
Berezhkov began writing songs in 1963, primarily setting his own poems to music. He has also composed songs to verses by various Russian poets, including V. Korkia, L. Gubanov, I. Brodsky, B. Pasternak, N. Zabolotsky, and O. Chukhontsev. He performs his songs accompanied by a six-string guitar.
