Early Life and Education
In 1982, Nariman Sultanbekov began his career as a journalist, penning articles and essays for the Semipalatinsk regional newspaper "Irtysh." After graduating from high school in 1986, he enrolled in the Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute, majoring in philology.
Military Service and Artistic Beginnings
From 1987 to 1989, Sultanbekov served in the Soviet Army under the Leningrad Military District. During his service, he won the District's Army Song Contest in 1989 and also triumphed in a songwriting competition in Novosibirsk.
In 1986, 1989, and 1991, Sultanbekov served as a camp counselor and senior leader at the "Mitsar" summer camp in the Semipalatinsk region.
Literary and Journalistic Success
Sultanbekov's journalism career continued to flourish, and he was admitted to the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan in 1997. He hosted television programs, including "Football Club" and "Morning Show," and served as director of the Pavlodar branches of "Russian Radio" and "Europa Plus."
Author-Songwriter and Television Personality
As an author-songwriter, Sultanbekov rose to prominence in the 1990s. He won the First All-Union Festival of Army Songs in Alma-Ata in 1991 and became a finalist at the Valery Grushin Author Song Festival in Samara in 2004.
In 1996, Sultanbekov launched his television program "Chess Horse" on the Semipalatinsk channel "STR," which garnered him the Kazakhstan Television Award "Altyn Zhuldyz" for Best Author Program. He also founded the creative association "Chess Horse."
Film and Performance Career
Sultanbekov's creative endeavors extended to film and performance. He appeared in several television programs alongside renowned celebrities, including Mikhail Boyarsky, Vakhtang Kikabidze, and Oleg Mityaev. In 2019, he was honored as a guest at the "Sol Russian Film Festival" in Spain.
Personal Life
Sultanbekov is married with two children. He currently resides in Valencia, Spain.
