Early Life and Musical Beginnings
As a child, Volodymyr Bystryakov exhibited a natural talent for music. At the age of ten, he composed simple songs inspired by the works of children's poets. He later enrolled in the Mykola Lysenko Music School and pursued piano studies.
Conservatory and International Recognition
Bystryakov's musical journey continued at the Kyiv Conservatory, where he graduated in 1972. Shortly before graduating, he competed in the International Competition in Hradec Králové and emerged victorious, receiving first prize. This achievement became his gateway to the world of performance.
Pianist and Composer
From 1972 to 1992, Bystryakov worked as a pianist with the Kyiv Philharmonic. His repertoire spanned works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, Chopin, and Ravel. In 1978, he debuted as a professional composer with the release of his song "Zдравствуй, моё утро." This debut was followed by numerous songs featured in the musical television film "Skazka kak Skazka."
Film and Television Composer
Bystryakov's musical versatility extended to film and television. He has composed scores for over 20 films and 36 cartoons. His collaborations with directors have produced notable works, including the song "Kuda Uyekhal Tsirk?" from the film "Karnaval," which became a hit for Valery Leontiev.
Collaborations and Songwriting
Bystryakov has collaborated with renowned artists, including Alla Pugacheva, Alexander Malinin, and Irina Allegrova. His collaborations extended to poets and songwriters such as Alexander Vrataryov, Arkady Gartzman, and Mikhail Tanich. Together with the Kyiv poet Volodymyr Gotsulenko, he created the vocal-poetic cycle "Doroga k Pushkinu," performed by Nikolai Karachentsov.
Current Projects and Recognition
Currently, Bystryakov actively mentors young performers and serves as a jury member for music competitions. He is a member of the television comedy club "Zolotoy Gusak" and hosts several television shows. His popular song "Lady Hamilton," written with lyrics by Vrataryov, was recognized as the Best Song of the Year in 1993.
Personal Life
Volodymyr Bystryakov was married to actress Regina Khanivetska from 1982 to 2005. They had two children, Margarita and Georgy. In 2005, he married singer Olga Neizvestnaya, and they have two children together, Maria and Alexander.
