Early Life and Music Beginnings
Childhood:Vladimir Gudkov, better known by his stage name Vladimir Dante, was born on June 28, 1988, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. Growing up in a regular family with a father in law enforcement, young Vladimir aspired to follow in his father's footsteps. However, as he grew older, he developed a passion for music, displaying exceptional vocal abilities. At the age of four, he showcased his talent with the song "V trave sidel kuznechik" in kindergarten, captivating his audience.
Education and Musical Training:
Despite his initial interest in music, Vladimir's parents encouraged him to pursue a more practical career. He enrolled in the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, majoring in Business Financial Management. However, his love for music persisted, and he later transferred to the L.A. Lysenko Kharkiv College of Music, where he honed his talent under the guidance of педагоgue Lilia Ivanova. He specialized in vocal pedagogy.
"Fabrika Zvezd" and the Birth of "Dante's & Oleinik"
Audition and Project Participation:In 2008, Vladimir seized the opportunity to enter the spotlight by auditioning for the "Fabrika Zvezd-2" talent show. With his rendition of the Ukrainian folk song "Oy, u poli tri krinichen'ki" and a captivating stage presence, he earned a spot in the competition. Over the course of three months, Vladimir lived in a house under constant surveillance, dedicating himself to music and self-promotion.
Duo Formation and Success:
During the show, Vladimir forged a friendship and musical partnership with fellow contestant Vadym Oleinikov. Together, they formed the duo "Dante's & Oleinik" and reached the project's finals. Under the guidance of producer Natalia Mogilevskaya, they toured Ukraine, released their first music video ("Mne uzhe dvadtsat") in 2009, and launched their debut album, "Mne uzhe dvadtsat," in 2010. Their success earned them a nomination for "Best Ukrainian Artist" at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2010.
Rebranding and Continued Recognition:
In September 2010, the duo changed their name to "DiO.filmy," combining their initials. The following years were marked by numerous hit songs, performances at music festivals, and prestigious awards, including "Golden Gramophone" and "Sound Track" in the category of "Pop Project."
Television Career
"Blizhe k telu" and "Eda, ya lyublyu tebya!"In 2012, Vladimir was offered a hosting role alongside Viktoriya Batuyeva in the dating show "Blizhe k telu" on Novyi Kanal. After the dissolution of "DiO.filmy," Dante focused on television hosting. He became the presenter of the popular culinary show "Eda, ya lyublyu tebya!" alongside Eduard Matsaberidze and Nykolay Kamka, exploring exotic cuisines around the world.
Personal Life
Relationship with Anastasia Vostokova:During his time on "Fabrika Zvezd-2," Vladimir was involved in a romance with fellow contestant Anastasia Vostokova. However, after the project ended, he acknowledged that his feelings were not genuine and that their relationship was a mutual PR strategy.
Marriage to Nadya Dorofeeva:
For an extended period, Vladimir dated Ukrainian singer Nadya Dorofeeva, a member of the group "Vremya i Steklo." In 2013, they publicly revealed their relationship. Vladimir proposed to Dorofeeva on-air at Radio Lyuks FM in March 2015. Four months later, they officially tied the knot.
