Early Life and Education
Denis Kazansky was born in Ukraine and graduated from the history faculty of Donetsk State University in 1995.
Journalism and Political Career
Early CareerKazansky began his career as a journalist in the Voroshilov District Committee of the Komsomol and later joined Donetsk Oblast Television, where he hosted the controversial program "Choice," which was shut down after complaints from nationalists.

In 1995-1999, Kazansky served as editor of the politics department of the newspaper "Komsomolskaya Pravda - Donbass." From 2000-2003, he became deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Salon Dona i Basa" (Donetsk).
Television and Chief Editor
From February to November 2003, Kazansky was chief editor of the newspaper "Segodnya" (Kyiv). Both newspapers were owned by the SKM holding, whose main shareholder was Rinat Akhmetov, a Ukrainian parliament member of the Party of Regions.
