Early Life and EducationBorn on September 4, 1995 in Novokuznetsk, Russia, Vladimir Kovtun was raised in a humble family. In 2013, he embarked on his artistic journey by enrolling in the Saint Petersburg State Academy of Theatrical Arts, where he studied under the guidance of renowned actor and pedagogue Yuri Krasovsky.
Theater and Film Debut
Kovtun's acting career commenced in 2017 with appearances in numerous television series. In "Aquatoria," he played Igor Karasev, followed by Danila in an episode of "Svoi." His talent and versatility were further showcased in roles such as Arkady in "Velikolepnaya pyaterka" and Artur Deryabin in "Mentozavry."
Stage and Screen Success
Kovtun's theater credits include performances on the stages of the Alexandrinsky Theater and the Maly Drama Theater - Theater of Europe. At the former, he participated in Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage and Her Children." At the latter, he starred in productions such as "Lord of the Flies," "Mu-Mu," "The Snow Queen," and "GAUDEAMUS," Notably, he created the memorable character of Henek in the play "Our Class."

This 16-episode melodrama, directed by the renowned Elena Tsyplakova, premiered on April 19th.
