Born on January 10, 1954, in the city of Verkhny Ufaley, Chelyabinsk Region, Russia, the journalist graduated from the Journalism Faculty of the Ural State University in 1976.

Career in Magnitogorsk

From 1976 to 2002, he resided in Magnitogorsk, where he worked as a correspondent, department head, and observer for the newspaper "Magnitogorsky Rabochy." His writings covered social issues, culture, politics, and sports. Additionally, he served as a television presenter, commentator, head of the literary department of several theaters, and a special correspondent for the newspaper "Sport-Express."

Journalism Recognition and Honors

In 1997, he was awarded at a regional journalism competition in Chelyabinsk. In 2002, he relocated to Moscow and received the "Best Writing Journalist Reporting on Hockey" award ("Silver Pen").
