Early Life and Military Education
Baron Konstantin von Wasmundt was born into a noble family as the son of General-Lieutenant Georgy Robertovich Wasmundt, who served as Chief of Staff of the Imperial Guard and the St. Petersburg Military District. On September 1, 1890, Konstantin entered military service. In 1892, he graduated from the Imperial Page Corps and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Life Guards Yaeger Regiment.
Military Career
Staff Officer and Command AssignmentsKonstantin von Wasmundt's military career progressed rapidly. He graduated from the Nikolaev Academy of the General Staff with honors in 1899 and was promoted to captain. Throughout his career, he held various staff appointments and command roles, including:

- Senior Adjutant of the headquarters of the 1st Guards Cavalry Division
- Staff Officer of the Guards Corps

In 1903, Konstantin von Wasmundt was promoted to lieutenant colonel and served as Senior Adjutant of the Troops of the Guard and St. Petersburg Military District. He subsequently commanded the 145th Novocherkassk Infantry Regiment and rose to the rank of major general in 1914.
World War I and Leadership Roles
During World War I, Konstantin von Wasmundt served in various leadership positions, including:

After the White Movement's defeat, Konstantin von Wasmundt emigrated to France, where he worked as an engineer and patented a design for a multi-cylinder gasoline engine. He was involved in several veterans' organizations and served as president of the Paris group of the Life Guards 2nd Rifle Regiment.
