Early Years and Beginnings
Vladimír Weiss Jr. was born on November 30, 1989, in Bratislava, Slovakia. He is the son of former footballer Vladimír Weiss Sr., who played for both Czechoslovakia and Slovakia. Weiss Jr.'s grandfather, also named Vladimír, was an Olympic silver medalist with Czechoslovakia in 1964.

Manchester City
Weiss Jr. began his football career at his hometown club, Inter Bratislava. In 2006, he was signed by Manchester City's academy. He made his debut for the first team in 2009 and went on to establish himself as a key player for the club.

Loan to Bolton Wanderers
In 2010, Weiss Jr. joined Bolton Wanderers on loan for the remainder of the season. He made 17 appearances for the club.
International Career
Weiss Jr. has represented Slovakia at both the youth and senior levels. He made his senior debut in 2009 and was part of the team that qualified for the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
