Vladislav Trubytsyn: Businessman, Philanthropist, and Politician
Early Life and Business VenturesVladislav Trubytsyn was born on February 1, 1983, in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in 2001 in the art and antiques industry. In 2010, he became the director of the Kyiv antique and book store "Bukinist." In 2015, Trubytsyn co-founded and became a co-owner of the "Starovynna Knyha" art gallery.
Philanthropic Endeavors
Trubytsyn is a prominent figure in Ukrainian philanthropy. He is a co-founder of the auction house "Epokha" and participates in charity auctions. Proceeds from these auctions have supported soldiers in the Anti-Terrorist Operation, the Museum of History of the City of Kyiv, and emerging artists.
Support for the Arts and Culture
Trubytsyn has extended his support to the National Museum of Books and Printing of Ukraine, scientific libraries, cultural institutions, and universities. He backs the Kyiv Museum of M. Bulgakov and researchers of Kyiv's history. In 2018, he authored the monograph "Description of 18th-Century Books." Additionally, he supported the publication of works by renowned Kyiv historian V. G. Kirkevich and the book collector Lyudmila Yuryevna Tsurika.
Cultural Initiatives
In 2019, Trubytsyn established the "Kulturni Novatsii" Charitable Foundation and initiated the Kyiv festival of urban culture "Bulgakov-FEST." He also founded the "Inshoknyha" project, aiming to modernize Ukrainian literary classics and distribute them free of charge through state libraries.
Activism
In June 2020, Trubytsyn led protests and established an initiative group to preserve the "Petrovka" book market in Kyiv. He founded the "Knizhkovyi Rynok" public organization, which advocates for the market's preservation and its transfer to the ownership of the Kyiv community.
Political Career
In 2020, Trubytsyn was elected to the Kyiv City Council on the "Servant of the People" party list. He represents the Obolonsky district. On December 1, 2020, he was sworn in as a deputy, and he currently chairs the Standing Committee on Entrepreneurship, Industry, and Urban Development.
