Early Career and Debut
Vojtěch Bradáč was born in Žižkov, Czechoslovakia in 1913, where he began his football career with Viktoria Žižkov in 1926. He made his first-team debut during the 1930-31 season.
International Debut and Record
Bradáč's exceptional talent was recognized at an early age, leading to his debut with the Czechoslovak national team in 1931 at the age of 17 years, 8 months, and 7 days. This made him the youngest player ever to play for the national team. In his debut match against Switzerland, Bradáč scored two goals, contributing to the team's 7-2 victory.
Success with Slavia Prague
In 1932, Bradáč transferred to Slavia Prague for a record-breaking fee of 80,000 crowns (approximately 700,000 crowns today). With Slavia, he won three consecutive Czechoslovak championships (1933, 1934, and 1935). In the 1935-36 season, he became the league's top scorer with 42 goals.
French Interlude and Return
Bradáč briefly played for French club Sochaux before returning to Slavia Prague in 1937. He won the Mitropa Cup with the team in the 1937-38 season.
Limited National Team Appearances
Despite his club success, Bradáč did not gain the full trust of national team selectors. He was not selected for the 1934 World Cup and was used primarily as a substitute in 1938.
Later Career and Tragic End
Following his departure from Slavia Prague, Bradáč played for Viktoria Žižkov, Sparta Prague, and Nusle. He ended his career with Slovan Duchcov. He scored a total of 155 goals in the Czechoslovak First League.
