Early Life and Education
Viacheslav Chaus, a prominent Ukrainian socio-political figure, was born in Chernihiv, Ukraine. In 1995, he graduated from the Chernihiv State Institute of Law, Social Technologies, and Labor. Subsequently, in 1999, he completed his studies at the National University "Chernihiv Polytechnic."
Career in Public Administration
Chaus began his career in public administration in 1999, serving at the Chernihiv District State Administration. In 2000, he transferred to the Chernihiv Territorial Department of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, where he remained until 2006.
Financial Sector Experience
Following his tenure in public administration, Chaus transitioned to the financial sector, leading branches of financial companies in Chernihiv. From 2009 to 2015, he headed the Chernihiv office of Kyivstar, a leading telecommunications provider in Ukraine. During this period, he also held managerial positions in the sales departments of Kyivstar and Ukrtelecom.
"Ukrgasvydobuvannya" Leadership
In 2015, Chaus joined the company Ukrgasvydobuvannya, Ukraine's largest natural gas producer. He served on the company's board for four years.
Appointment as Governor
On August 4, 2021, by Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 343/2021, Viacheslav Chaus was appointed as the Head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration.
Political Affiliation
Chaus is the Chairman of the Chernihiv Regional Organization of the "Servant of the People" party.
