Scientific Career
Pioneering Laser Crystal Materials- Joined the Physical Institute named after P.N. Lebedev of the USSR Academy of Sciences (FIAN) in 1954
- Led the Department of Monocrystals at FIAN from 1961, developing new materials for lasers
- Assembled a team of researchers that became the foundation of the Scientific Center for Laser Materials and Technologies, which he has directed for over 40 years
