Walton Algernon Albright, Jr. was born on September 3, 1925, in Burbank, California. Known for his signature golden curls, which were actually the result of a skillful hairstylist, Albright began his acting career at the tender age of three.

The Our Gang Years

In the early 1930s, Albright rose to fame as a member of the "Our Gang" series, a collection of short comedies depicting the adventures of a group of children from low-income families. Originating from Hal Roach's studio, "Our Gang" ran for sixteen years before being sold to MGM. Though his tenure with Hal Roach was brief, Albright frequently took on the role of the group's ringleader, alongside fellow child actor Matthew Beard.

Transition to Sound and Little Rascals

By 1929, "Our Gang" had transitioned to sound, prompting a transition for both the crew and the young actors. As some child actors left the series, a new wave of talent was brought in, including Albright. In 1932, he made his first appearance as Wally, a young orphan, in the episode "Choo-Choo!"

During World War II, Albright served in the United States Navy. After his discharge, he established a successful trucking company, spanning all of California. An avid athlete, he won a skiing and track and field championship in 1957.
