Early Life and Education

Wil van der Aalst, a Dutch computer scientist and engineering professor, was born on January 29, 1966, in Eersel, Netherlands. He pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in 1988, followed by a Doctorate in Mathematics in 1992.

Academic Career

After completing his studies, Aalst joined his alma mater, TU/e, as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
