Initially drawn to education, Resetarits studied English language and literature. However, his passion for music ultimately led him to deviate from this path.

Musical Beginnings: Schmetterlinge and Eurovision
In the late 1960s, Resetarits joined the politically-oriented rock band "Schmetterlinge" (Butterflies). With them, he participated in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest in London, performing the song "Boom-Boom-Boomerang."

Dr. Kurt Ostbahn: Radio and Comedy Success
In the mid-1980s, Resetarits and his colleague Günter Brödl created the comedic character Dr. Kurt Ostbahn, a persona that quickly gained popularity. From 1995 to 1998, the radio show "Trost und Rat von und mit Dr. Kurt Ostbahn" became a hit in Vienna.

Musical and Activism
Alongside his radio success, Resetarits continued his musical career. He collaborated with Kurdish singer Sivan Perwer and performed at folk music festivals. Resetarits is also an activist and humanitarian, co-founding the organization "Asyl in Not and SOS Mitmensch" and founding "Integration House Vienna."
