Born and Raised

Keith Reiley was born on July 26, 1949, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, but spent his childhood in Babylon, New York, which he considers his hometown.

Education and Military Service

After graduating from Arcadia High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, in 1967, Reiley went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy (1971) and a Master of Science degree in Mechanics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1978).

Following his graduation from the Naval Academy, Reiley served in the SEAL Teams Three, One, Two, and Special Warfare Development Group Twenty. His specific assignments and awards during this period are largely classified.

NASA Career and Space Flights

Reiley was selected as a NASA astronaut in May 1984. From November 1993 to January 1996, he served as Deputy Manager of the International Space Station Program.

Throughout his career, Reiley has completed four spaceflights as a Mission Specialist and Commander of the International Space Station:
