Early life
Yasmin Ghauri was born on March 23, 1971, in Montreal, Canada, to a Pakistani father and a German mother. Her family later moved to Quebec, where her father became an imam in the local Muslim community. From a young age, Yasmin showed an interest in modeling and attended courses for young models. However, her parents did not support her passion, and she often had strained relationships with her peers, resulting in frequent conflicts.

Modeling career
At the age of 17, Yasmin Ghauri started working at McDonald's. Interestingly, it was her job at the restaurant that led to the beginning of her professional modeling career. One evening, while returning home from work, she was noticed by the owner of a fashionable hair salon and also a scout for a modeling agency, Eduard Zachariah. He immediately recognized Yasmin's potential to become a runway star due to her perfect appearance. Despite Yasmin's initial reluctance, Zachariah used his charm and experience to gain her interest. Thus, at the age of 17, Yasmin Ghauri's modeling career began. Her father was furious when he found out about her new profession, especially after seeing photographs of his own daughter half-naked. Yasmin had to flee to New York to escape her father's anger.

In 1990, she started working for Versace, and by the end of the year, Yasmin Ghauri graced the covers of Elle magazine twice. The following year, she became the face of Christian Dior, participating in numerous fashion shows and appearing on the covers of fashion magazines.
Transition and personal life
In 1996, Yasmin Ghauri decided to end her professional modeling career, despite representing Yves Saint Laurent for several years. She pursued the study of economics and attended business courses, completely ignoring tempting offers from leading modeling agencies. At the age of 36, she got married and seemingly bid farewell to her glamorous past. Yasmin raised two children, although their names remain unknown to the press as she rarely interacts with journalists. However, she occasionally appears at charity events with her spouse, providing enough evidence that even at 38 years old, she is still the "queen of the runway" – albeit a former one.
