Biography of Igal Azrul
Igal Azrul is an American-Israeli fashion designer known for his feminine and masterfully draped creations. Born as the youngest of eight children, with five sisters, Azrul was influenced by his predominantly female environment and early on decided to pursue a career in women's fashion.

Despite never receiving formal design education, Azrul launched his first collection in New York City in 1998. A year later, he participated in the New York Fashion Week, gaining recognition for his innovative designs. In August 2000, Azrul opened a showroom offering a full range of services and his own production factory, which remains active and produces around 90% of his products to this day.

In February 2001, Azrul created his first website dedicated to innovative design. Two years later, in February 2003, he opened his first standalone boutique on West 14th Street in Manhattan. The store, designed by Dror Benshetrit, received widespread acclaim for its aesthetics and architecture, and Azrul used it as a venue for his spring fashion shows on multiple occasions.

In July 2004, Azrul became a member of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Three months later, in October 2004, he presented his spring-summer 2005 collection at the renowned Ritz hotel in Paris, marking his first international exhibition. In June 2006, Azrul attracted the attention of Milan-based company Studio Zeta, which led him to trade his creations wholesale and achieve significant success in the industry.
In 2009, during New York Fashion Week, Azrul dismissed his leading publicist, Kelly Cutrone of People Revolution, after she allowed infamous American sex worker Ashley Alexandra Dupre to have a front-row seat at his show.
Azrul's designs are characterized by their overall femininity and skillful draping techniques. His creations have a classic aesthetic with a touch of modern freshness. Rather than chasing the latest fashion trends, Azrul seeks inspiration for his new collections independently.
