Biography of Mikhail Voronin
Mikhail Voronin is a well-known Ukrainian designer and fashion designer. He is the creator of the popular trade mark "Mikhail Voronin" and the "Voronin" Concern - a network of enterprises specializing in the production and sale of men's clothing, including a franchising network of the same name.

Mikhail Voronin was born in 1838. At the age of sixteen, he began his professional training in sewing at a technical school. Recognized as the best graduate of the school, Voronin was allowed to work in a workshop. After completing additional courses, he became a foreman in 1959-60. In 1964, Voronin worked as a pattern maker for men's outerwear. It was in that year that he was able to travel abroad for the first time. Foreigners, convinced that sewing in the USSR was not of high quality, mistook the suit Voronin had made for himself as an imported one. This incident hurt his professional pride, and upon returning home, Mikhail was determined to change the situation.

In 1965, the older workers ignored the advice of the 25-year-old "master". After another skeptical reaction, he made a bet that he could sew a winter coat overnight (it usually took 3-4 days for one master to complete, and a luxury coat could take up to 10 days). Voronin's colleagues locked him in the workshop, and by morning, the coat was ready. This demonstrated the strong personality of the future master, and his authority was no longer in doubt. Marketing strategies were not yet a concept at that time, but Voronin used them intuitively. After coordinating the time with each client, he would create a clear schedule for appointments. "Knowing when it was convenient for each client to come," the master says, "I would hang their suits in the fitting room in advance." This made a great impression: "What a talented Lvovich! Look how many clients he has, and he remembers me, even prepared a fitting in advance!" Such a level of service was a completely new innovation for Soviet people, and it left a favorable impression on the customer about the tailor.

In 1968, Voronin came up with a revolutionary idea - to completely abandon the three "classic" fittings of an English suit. His fitting-free method revolutionized the entire fashion world.

In 1970, he obtained a patent for the invention of the "vest-sample method", which required 35 additional inventions. Mikhail Voronin taught his method at republican, all-union, and international schools of advanced experience. This method brought Master fame not only in the Soviet Union but also abroad.
Mikhail Voronin graduated from the Kiev Technological Institute of Light Industry in 1972. Interestingly, he obtained higher education without interrupting his production work.
Voronin's personnel policy was also unique. He would train a group of 12 professional tailors, studying the individual characteristics of each worker, their abilities, and the operations they excelled at. Then he would verify this data through their work. Only then would he form the future team. As a result, the formed group would complete 1.5 months' worth of work within a month. It is not surprising that Voronin's team was constantly praised by the press.
Throughout his career, Mikhail Voronin has received numerous awards and honors for his contributions to the fashion industry. These include the Order of Labor Glory, Golden Medals of the USSR and Ukraine, and the title of Honored Inventor of the USSR. His improved vest-sample method became the basis for his proprietary computer technology for cutting clothes and led to his first European and American customers in the 1980s.
Mikhail Voronin's achievements and innovations have made him a legend in the fashion industry, both in Ukraine and internationally. His dedication to quality and craftsmanship continues to be recognized and celebrated.
