Biography of Isa Ferrer

Isa Ferrer is a French singer who was born on June 4, 1972 in Algeria. At the age of 2, she moved to Chambéry, France with her parents. From a young age, Isa showed an interest in singing and dedicated her free time to a local choir and working at the radio station "Arc-en-Ciel". At 18, she decided to pursue her dreams in Paris and enrolled in drama courses at the "Pigmalion" studio.

In 1992, Isa Ferrer landed a small role in the film "L-627" directed by French filmmaker Bertrand Tavernier. This film brought her recognition and after several auditions, she was cast as the lead in the popular TV series "Seconde B". She starred in the series for 2 years before deciding to leave.

During this time, Isa also collaborated with Daniel Castano on her first song "Tune of my heart", which was included in the original soundtrack of the series. In 1995, she signed a contract with Polydor and released her first album "D'essences naturelles". The album produced three singles: "À coups de typ-ex", "109 en 95", and "Ne me chasse pas".

Isa's single "Mes rêves", recorded in London, became a commercial success with over 100,000 copies sold. In 1997, she met Bertrand Le Page, the former manager of Mylène Farmer, whom she would work with in the future. Her second album "Kamikaze" was released, and Isa found her musical style, which Thierry Rogen coined as "Pop Kosmic".

In 1998, the song "Les yeux dans les yeux" was released and achieved great success despite its controversial music video. Isa later parted ways with Bertrand Le Page and Dominique Dupont became her new manager. In the same year, she recorded a cover version of Secret Service's "Flash in the night" in French, which became a huge hit.

In 2000, Isa ended her contract with Polydor and signed with EMI. However, their collaboration was short-lived as EMI did not prioritize her career. After a break and the birth of her daughter Nova-Louna in 2001, Isa signed a contract with East-West. In 2003, her single "Made in Japan" was released, marking the start of her work on the album "Lovarium". Unfortunately, the single did not receive much attention without East-West's support.

In 2004, Isa released a new version of the song "Ederlezi" in Sweden, which was produced by Richi M. This cover of Goran Bregović's song had previously appeared on the album "Kamikaze" but in a different rendition. Currently, Isa Ferrer is working on a new album.
