Yukari Kasuga
Yukari Kasuga is a Japanese idol, singer, and actress who is a member of the Japanese pop group AKB48. She is a former captain of Team B and concurrently a member of the group NGT48, having previously been in NMB48.
Early Career
In the latter half of 2006, Kasuga auditioned for the 8th generation of Morning Musume and reached the 3rd round, but was unsuccessful. She successfully auditioned for AKB48 in December 2006 and debuted as a member of Team B at the "AKB48 1st Anniversary Live" concert. On April 4, 2007, she had her first theater performance with Team B.
AKB48 Involvement
In the selection for the single "Iiwake Maybe," Kasuga ranked 9th with 1,920 votes and was appointed captain of Team B in August 2009. On September 20, 2009, her first photobook was published. In June 2010, she ranked 8th in the selection for the 17th single ("Heavy Rotation"), amassing 15,466 votes.
