Biography of Zapasnoy Vykhod

Zapasnoy Vykhod is a rock band originally formed by students of the Kiev Higher Music School named after Glier. The first rehearsals of the group took place at the "Sputnik" studio. The initial lineup consisted of Sergey Kuzmenko (vocals, guitar), Kolya Golik (lead guitar), Dima Pankov (bass guitar), Sasha Zheltenko (drums), and Igor Novgorodov (keyboard). However, due to frequent conflicts with Sergey, Kolya and Igor left the band. Denis Osipov replaced Kolya on guitar, and the need for keyboards was no longer necessary.

In 2001, the group rehearsed at the "House of Children's Creativity." Denis and Sergey started performing at concerts, which helped the band gain recognition. However, their first official performance took place on May 19, 2001, at the "Sputnik" studio in a small room. During the concert, they mainly played songs by the band "Kino," as Sergey's voice closely resembled that of Viktor Tsoi. Sasha Vakulenchik replaced Sasha Zheltenko on drums, possibly due to conflicts. Thanks to this concert, the band became popular within certain circles. In the spring of 2001, Denis Osipov left the group as he did not want to play Sergey's songs. He was replaced by Kostya Sheludko. With two guitars, they continued to perform at the "House of Children's Creativity" concerts.

On November 3, Sergey was offered to perform at the "Magarych" cafe, despite having only two guitars with Kostya and equipment refusal. Nevertheless, the band gave an outstanding performance. Their second concert, featuring the entire group, took place on October 14, 2001, in the same small room at the "Sputnik" studio. They performed seven of their own songs.

Rehearsals continued, and their next concert took place on November 16 in School No. 64. Despite their rehearsals, sessions, and studies, the band managed to record a demo.

Their last concert, to date, took place on December 22, 2001, at the same School No. 64. It was considered the best, judging by the audience's reaction to songs like "Tvoi Son," "Novyi Den," "Sny o Lichnom," "Rok-n-roll Usnul," and "Banka." Nearly the entire music scene of Kiev, known as "Truba," gathered at this concert.

From March 8 to April 27, Sergey recorded vocal parts for the album. On April 28, he boarded a plane bound for the United States. On May 30, 2002, Sergey performed at the "Europe" club in West Hartford. After the performance, he received a serious business offer, but unfortunately, it lost its force after the concert. Sergey no longer performs at "Europe."

However, by the end of December 2002, the band successfully finished recording their exclusive album as a trio. They independently released the album in a small edition with the help of Dima Pankov's brother. After the album's release, Kostya Sheludko left to pursue his project with the band Areal. Zapasnoy Vykhod plans to record their next album in the not-so-distant future, without their departed lead guitarist.
