Early Life and Football Beginnings
Zaven Badoyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. From an early age, he experimented with various sports before settling on football. At the age of six, he joined the FIMA football school under the guidance of coach Levon Barsegyan.
Professional Career
Badoyan began his professional career at the age of 16 in the Armenian Premier League. He signed with FC Kilikia in 2006, where he played for two seasons. During his army service, he represented FC Gandzasar, winning his first career medals with a bronze finish in 2008.
In 2010, Badoyan joined FC Impuls Dilijan, where he quickly became a key player. He went on to sign a four-year contract with FC BATE in December 2011. With BATE, he achieved significant success, winning the Belarusian Premier League in 2012 and 2013, as well as the Belarusian Super Cup in 2013.
International Career
Badoyan made his debut for the Armenia youth national team in 2010, representing the under-21 side. His impressive performances with Impuls caught the attention of the senior national team, and he earned his first cap in 2011 against Lithuania.
Hobbies and Interests
Outside of football, Badoyan is an avid fan of Spanish football and FC Barcelona. He admires Lionel Messi and the coaching philosophy of Josep Guardiola.
