Czechoslovakian Pair Skater

The figure skater from Czechoslovakia competed in the pairs discipline. He teamed up with Vera Suchánková, and together they won two European Championships in 1957 and 1958. They also secured the silver medal at the 1958 World Championships. Additionally, they were crowned three-time Czechoslovakian champions from 1956 to 1958.

Early Life and Career

Born and raised in Czechoslovakia, the skater displayed an early passion for figure skating. He began training in pairs with Vera Suchánková, and they quickly rose through the ranks of Czechoslovakian figure skating.

International Success

In 1957, the pair made their international debut at the European Championships. They won the gold medal, becoming the first Czechoslovakian pair to win the European title. They repeated their success in 1958, defending their title.

World Championships and Olympic Games

The pair continued to excel internationally, earning the silver medal at the 1958 World Championships. They also competed in the 1956 and 1960 Olympic Games, finishing sixth and fifth respectively.
