Sydney Goldman, a British mathematician and professor, began his education at a Jewish school in Kenton, North London. He then proceeded to Trinity College, Cambridge University, and later obtained his doctorate from the University of Leipzig.

Bristol University (1914-1919)

Goldman commenced his academic career at Bristol University, where he worked from 1914 to 1919.

Leeds University (1920-1948)

In 1920, he joined Leeds University. He served as a professor of mathematics from 1924 onwards and remained at the university until 1948.

President of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (1949-1951)

Goldman held the prestigious position of President of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 1949 to 1951. He also chaired the university's executive council.
