Early Life and Transition to Biathlon

Zina Kocher, a Canadian biathlete, initially pursued cross-country skiing before transitioning to biathlon in 1998. She represented the Rocky Mountain Racers club and made her World Cup debut in December 2001.

World Cup Breakthrough

Kocher's first World Cup points came in January 2003, when she finished 26th in an individual race. She achieved a top-10 finish shortly after in the sprint race. In December 2006, she secured a podium finish, placing third—a significant milestone for her and Canada.
