Zlata Ognevich is a Ukrainian singer who gained fame as the winner of the project "The Only Singing Radio Host." She represented Ukraine in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. Born Inna Leonidovna Bordyug in Murmansk, she grew up in Sudak, Crimea, where she began studying music. Zlata's professional career as a singer took off in Kyiv, where she graduated from the Glière Music School and enrolled in the Kiev Institute of Music, specializing in jazz vocals.
Early Life and Musical Education
Zlata Ognevich was born in Murmansk, Russia, to a military and teacher family. She spent her childhood in Sudak, Crimea, where she started her music education. She honed her skills as a professional singer in Kyiv, Ukraine, as a graduate of the Glière Music School and a student at the Kiev Institute of Music, specializing in jazz vocals.
Professional Career
Zlata Ognevich is a soloist of the State Ensemble of Song and Dance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and has also performed in a Latin band. In 2010, she became a finalist in the national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest but did not win. In 2011, she participated in the Eurovision selection again, finishing in second place. Zlata Ognevich's voice was featured in the advertising campaign for the brand "Korona" with the song "Passion."
