Aaron Golub: The First Blind Player in a Football Team
Aaron Golub is an American athlete who became the first blind player in Tulane University's football team in New Orleans, Louisiana. Despite having only partial vision in his left eye, Aaron's perseverance has proven that the most valuable quality in an American football player is not speed or endurance, as many believe, but the drive to develop and move forward, breaking down barriers along the way. American football is deservedly the most popular sport in the United States and has become an integral part of American culture.

A Remarkable Journey to Success
Although each coach and sports team have their own training system, there is one statement unanimously accepted by all - the game cannot be 'learned', and from the first minute on the field, it becomes evident whether a player has talent or not. Today, this statement is likely to be called a misconception because, through daily training and determination that professional footballers would envy, Aaron Golub has become not just a good player by high school team standards but also the 12th best player in America in his position. His achievements, initially noticed by the team's coach, soon caught the attention of local newspaper journalists and recently caused a stir in the college football league. In late May 2014, Aaron received an official invitation from Tulane University, and in 2015, he will step onto the football field wearing their colors.

Overcoming Challenges
"I don't want to be the blind guy on the team, and I don't want the spectators to stand up from their seats out of pity for me," Aaron confessed in one interview. "I want to win and be part of the team, both in victory and defeat!" Aaron Golub was born in 1997 in Newton, Massachusetts. He began experiencing vision problems from a young age and by his teenage years, he had completely lost sight in his right eye, with only a few percentage points of vision in his left eye. In the seventh grade, Aaron confessed to his parents that he intended to join the school football team. However, permission to participate in the dangerous game was only granted after a meeting with the school team's coach, who helped him find the most suitable position. Soon after, Aaron received his jersey and became one of the team's long snappers, responsible for delivering the ball from the line of scrimmage to the player executing the play.
A Bright Future in Football
Over the course of four years of playing, Golub not only learned all the nuances of the game but also became one of the best high school players in America in his position. According to sports publications, Aaron Golub currently holds the 12th position among young long snappers, as well as the 18th position in the list of promising players in the state of Massachusetts. A significant achievement in his life was the invitation from Tulane University, known nationwide for its football team and high-quality education. "I am not going to the university to be just a football player; I also want to receive an education," Aaron said. "Regardless of what happens to my sports career, I want to be sure that I am making the right choice, one that I won't regret in the future." When asked about his attitude towards the sport, he admitted that he has no plans and hopes that attending university and playing for the university team will show whether he has a future in the world of American football. For now, it is certain that this 17-year-old high school student from a small northern town has proven that a person can achieve any height if they approach it seriously, thoughtfully, and give their heart to the pursuit.
