Biography of Abdullah Al-Hilali
Abdullah Al-Hilali is an Omani football referee and military serviceman. He resides in the city of Nakhal and has been officiating international matches since 2002.
Officiating Career
Abdullah Al-Hilali has officiated numerous international matches, including games in the AFC Champions League, World Cup qualifiers, and the Asian Cup. His career highlights include being selected as one of the referees for the football matches at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
Historic Achievement
Abdullah Al-Hilali holds the distinction of being the first-ever football referee from Oman to officiate at the Olympic Games. He was also one of only three Asian referees selected for the 2008 Olympics based on his performance during tests conducted in Tehran in the summer of 2008.
